LjubuĹĄki - Opening of the USAID/Sida/EKN GAP and LjubuĹĄki Municipality joint capital project âCompletion of Construction of the âDomovinske Zahvalnostiâ City Squareâ took place on July 19, 2010, in the presence of the Mayor of LjubuĹĄki Municipality, Mr. Nevenko BarbariÄ, the representatives of the three donors, H.E. Sweder van Voorst tot Vorst, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Allan Reed, Director of the USAID Mission to B&H and Mr. Mario Vignjevic, National Programme Officer, Embassy of Sweden- SIDA, LjubuĹĄki Municipality staff, GAP personnel and numerous citizens of LjubuĹĄki Municipality. Capital project âRegulation of the Prozorcica Stream and Construction of the Sewage Systemâ was ceremonially opened on July 8, 2010, in the presence of the Mayor of Prozor Rama, Mr. Jozo Ivancevic, the representatives of the three GAP donors: Director of the USAID Democracy Office, Mrs. Dana Begun, and Mr. Mario Vignjevic, Program Officer from Swedish Embassy, GAP staff and citizens of Prozor Rama. Opening of two projects implemented in Nevesinje Municipality: âPavement of the Road to the Kalufi Necropolisâ and âConstruction of the Water supply system Udbina Nevesinje, Part I â Improvement to the existing water supply systemâ is scheduled for July 1, 2010 Three capital projects successfully completed in Travnik Municipality
Projects âAsphalt pavement of Babanovac roadsâ, âAsphalt paving of Mehurici roadsâ and âAsphalt paving of the Ante Vlaica streetsâ have been successfully completed in joint efforts of Travnik Municipality and USAID/Sida/EKN GAP 2. GAP successfully finished one of many successful activities getting closer to its completion this summer. On June 8th and 9th 2010, GAP organized two seminars for mayors of GAP partner municipalities and the municipal heads of finance and budget, on Managing Under Revenue Constraints. Completed series of Urban workshops in C4 municipalities-Sarajevo GAP region
GAP 2: Ending the first half of June, Sarajevo region completed a series of workshops with Advisory Board (AB) for establishment of Urban Permit Centers in C4 municipalities (Vares, Vitez, Olovo, Novi Travnik). Amira Busuladzic, Urban Specialist, Tatjana Muhic, Regional Coordinator and Zlatan Music, Municipal Coordinator in Sarajevo Region helped these important activities being successfully implemented. GAP successfully finished one of many successful activities getting closer to its completion this summer. The water station in Local Community Vir was ceremonially opened yesterday in the presence of the Director of Sida in B&H, Mr. Anders Hedlund, one of the representatives of the GAP donors (USAID/Sida/EKN), GAP staff, and personnel of Posusje Municipality and citizens of Posusje. GPS receivers for Bosnian Municipal Cadastre Offices
Governance Accountability Project (GAP) for Bosnia and Herzegovina, supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Swedish International Development Cooperative Agency (SIDA) and the Embassy of the Netherlands, is helping to build the capacity of Bosnian municipalities to better serve their citizens. As a part of this effort, GAP has recently purchased 46 Ashtech ProMark 3 RTK GPS receivers to help cadastre offices in 23 municipalities to support municipal capital improvement projects and simplify procedures for urban construction and land use administration. This is a great project, providing a vital link between three villages and the outside world.Â
Kakanj Municipality is a GAP second cohort municipality that initially in the year of 2006 acknowledged CIP methodology advantages and with GAPâs assistance successfully adopted first CIP methodology on 25 June 2006. OPENING OF THE CSC IN GRACANICA, JANUARY 26, 2010
The new building foresees creation of modern CSC center, urban permit center, and those buck-up offices that are important to be close to the CSC (30 working stations in total). The offices of heads of departments and mayor office have remained in the old building.
