WORKSHOP ON IMPROVEMENT OF THE PERMIT ISSUANCE PROCEDURE HELD IN THE SIROKI BRIJEG MUNICIPALITY

The workshop titled: “Improvement of the Procedure for Issuance of Zoning Permits, Construction Permits, and Inspection Certificates by Establishing the Centre for Permit Issuance in the Široki Brijeg Municipality”, organized by GAP, Governance Accountability Project, was held in the Široki Brijeg Town Hall. Members of the Permit Issuance Centre Advisory Board, that is representatives of HT Mostar, PE Elektroprivreda HZHB, Western-Herzegovina Canton Forest Economic Society, Široki Brijeg Municipality public enterprises, private company Security Engineering (Sigurnosni inzenjering), Cantonal Road Administration, Cantonal Water Management Inspectorate, Western-Herzegovina Canton Ministry of Economy, and members of the Advisory Board from the Cadastral and Zoning Department of the Široki Brijeg Municipality participated in the workshop.
At the very beginning of the workshop, mayor Miro Kraljević addressed the participants, and wished them success with the workshop. He also announced that the construction of the Permit Issuance Centre (One-stop Shop) would soon start on the ground floor of the municipal building. According to moderator Amira Busuladžić, GAP’s zoning expert, this workshop represents the beginning of partnership activities of all key factors in the process of improving the permit planning and issuance in the field of zoning and construction by establishing the Permit Issuance Centre. With this workshop, the Working Group and the Advisory Board representatives, in consultation with the GAP experts, started the activities related to the preparation of the electronic permit-issuance planning documentation.
It is worth mentioning that several days ago, the Contract on Construction of the Citizen Services Centre (One-stop Shop) was signed with company Hering d.d., which will significantly improve the quality of the services provided to citizens.
