On September 20, GAP Consultant presented draft Local Environmental Action Plan to the Municipal Mayor, GAP and LEAP Coordinator from the municipality. The document is a result of a 6-month process in which, GAP consultant had five workshops and two presentations related to SWOT analysis, problem tree analysis, survey implementation, gap analysis, project definition, vision and mission statement development and public campaign implementation).

After the respected donors of Governance Accountability Project (GAP), USAID, SIDA and EKN had approved a list of 10 municipalities in BiH to be a part of the activity to support local communities in the Federation of BiH in treasury system introduction on local level, GAP Municipal Finance and Treasury Specialist, Ms. Merdža Handalić, accompanied by Senior Local Interventions Coordinator, Tanja Mihajlović, held initial meetings in the municipalities of Cazin, Bosanska Krupa, and Bužim.

Opening of the reconstructed Livno Municipal Building
Opening ceremony of the Livno Municipal building took place on April 20, 2011. The ceremony marked completion of a joint effort of Livno Municipality and GAP. Besides GAP representatives and municipal staff, numerous guests from B&H public life were present at this important event. In his speech, the Mayor, Mr. Luka Čelan, mentioned the improvements in the local administration that municipality Livno has experienced in the past few years, with the assistance from GAP, and thanked the GAP staff for great cooperation and support.

Bos. Grahovo implemented CDPC methodology for a first time in 2005 and in 2009 has repeated the same methodology. CDPC Commission has 15 members. During the public campaign in June 2009, Bosanko Grahovo has collected 58 applications.52 applications were submitted by citizens, 3 by NGO’s, 2 by MZ and only 1 by municipality itself. All projects received were scored by CDPC adopted criteria and priority lists were prepared.
